Islamabad: According to various sources, Lt. Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Chairman of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority, said on Friday that about 60% of the work on the Suki Kinari Hydro Power Project had been completed.

He stated that the project, which is being carried out under the CPEC system, will be operational in December 2022.

Bajwa said the project was located at River Kunhar, Kaghan, and the overall cost of the project was $2 billion in a tweet after attending the secondary river closure ceremony of the 884 MW hydropower project.
