Rawalpindi: According to reports released on Friday, the Rawalpindi Development Authority has accumulated PKR 491 million in income for the fiscal year 2020-21.

The money collected by the MP&TE Directorate, the RDA, and the Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing has surpassed the objective of PKR 335 million.

According to a spokesperson who did not want to be identified, the MU&BC Wing collected PKR 341 million this fiscal year, while the MP&TE Directorate generated PKR 150 million.

He further noted that, in compliance with RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro’s directives, the RDA is taking rigorous action against illegal development and housing proposals. It was also said that 1,435 construction plans were submitted for citizen approval, the greatest number in RDA history.

According to the spokesman, violators face penalties, and charges have been made against both residential and commercial illegal construction and housing projects.

Furthermore, the RDA DG praised the efforts and urged staff to operate impartially, according to the spokeswoman.
