Lahore: According to news sources, Punjab’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mian Aslam Iqbal, has declared that the Punjab government plans to build an Auto Parts Technology Park near Lahore to help the province’s industrialization.

The new facility will be developed in Sheikhupura’s Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, one of the Punjab government’s eight industrial parks and a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of the multibillion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The Auto Parts Technology Park, Iqbal said during a meeting with members of the Punjab Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (PIEDMC), would be built on nine acres of land and would assist the auto industry with product design, training centers, parts manufacturing, testing, and other services.

Textile, pharmaceutical, plastic, cleaning goods, clothes, auto parts, cosmetics, and cold storage are just a few of the industries that will be represented at the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park. The minister boasted that the Punjab administration had paved the way for an economic revolution by establishing new industrial zones across the state.

The provincial minister ordered a meeting to establish a land acquisition model for the extended project, as well as the completion of PC-I of the new projects by July 15, 2021.

The minister claimed that the Bahawalpur industrial park would open after Eid, and that work on the Chunian Aqua Business Park would begin after Eid.

The minister also indicated that the Sundar-Raiwind and Manga-Raiwind roads in the Sundar Industrial Estate would be widened to improve traffic flow.
