On Wednesday, the ground was broken for the new Department of Pharmacy and Hostel No. 13 for Girls at Quaid-i-Azam University.

The foundation stones for the buildings were set by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University.

The academic block is expected to be completed in 18 months at a cost of Rs183 million. The girl’s hostel, which will have a capacity of 300 students, would be finished in 13 months at a cost of Rs173 million.

The foundation stone for the PSDP project’s road construction from Admin Block turn to Shahdara Road was also laid. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Raja Qaiser Ahmed, Registrar of the University, Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director of Academics, Dr. Mariam Anees, Director of Students Affairs, senior professors, and syndicate members, director of works, officers, and staff members.
