The installation of the EVM, according to the government, would enable interested lawmakers and news outlets to understand how the system will help make the voting process more transparent.

The National Assembly Secretariat released a statement in this regard, saying, “The computer has been placed on display on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s advice.”

In addition, for convenience and accessibility, a technical officer will be posted near the EVM to respond quickly to questions from parliamentarians and reporters. They’ll also be able to hear about the machine’s basic functions and functionality.
