Lahore: According to news reports, the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has developed an online payment service for the issue of fards, land mutations, and other relevant taxes in order to make the procedure more convenient and quick. Fard, mutation, and registry fees can now be paid online utilizing secure payment methods including internet banking or ATMs.

The step was done to simplify the process of collecting paperwork from the necessary departments and paying fees at banks without having to queue for a long time. For this aim, the PLRA app is already available in digital mobile app shops.

The e-payment system is one of seven e-governance systems included in the PLRA to improve administrative operations by making them more user-friendly and efficient. Satellite land record centers, e-registration, and e-fird are among the other initiatives.
