Islamabad: The Zarai Taraqiati Bank (ZTBL) has established a ‘Kissan Khushhal Scheme’ (KKS) to help farmers get the most out of their loans with the least amount of mark-up.

Farmers will be able to receive timely financing to match their actual crop input demands, as well as quick credit access with the convenience of one-time paperwork for three years. The KKS offers farmers/borrowers a variety of withdrawal and repayment options, allowing them to take funds as needed and repay loans as funds become available.

The KKS was created with the intention of allowing farmers to use their loans wisely and avoid being exploited by middlemen,” he explained.

This is how ZTBL gives loans while also advising farmers on how to get the most out of their money with the least amount of mark-up. Furthermore, the programme offers the far more flexible option of repaying the mark-up in half-yearly instalments and the main amount in one year to help decrease debt load.
