Lahore: Across order to clean up the city ahead of Eid Miladun Nabi, a zero-waste operation was begun in the city, focusing on locations with important mosques, shrines, and roadways.

The operation began with the deployment of more than 500 workers and additional machinery by the Lahore Waste Management Company to give cleanliness services to the public, followed by the sweeping and washing of main highways and 150 mosques.

The punctual emptying of waste bins will be enforced during the operation on all major processions routes. According to the firm, the cleanliness plan also involves water sprinkling and liming of pavements to give the city a nice and clean appearance.
