Lahore: According to media reports, Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) revealed on Wednesday that a 500 KW grid station is being built at a rapid rate at the Allama Iqbal Industrial City (AIIC).

Chairman Kashif Ashfaq was briefed that the grid station construction work is underway at full capacity during a meeting with Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Executive Bashir Ahmad. He went on to state that the grid’s construction was monitored on a regular basis to ensure that the highest quality and construction requirements were met.
Furthermore, Mian Kashif added that the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) General Manager (GM) stated that after pipelines are laid, the sanctioned quota of gas will be made available for the industrial city. In addition, the chairman stated that all facilities, including power and gas connections, will be offered to investors through a single point of contact.

The chairman also stated during the meeting that this project is of national importance and will assist usher in a new age of progress and prosperity. According to reports, PKR 7 billion was spent on the project’s first phase, and 20 units have already begun production.
