Mansehra: According to a news report published on May 22, Local Government Minister Akbar Ayub Khan broke ground on a 3-kilometer-long road project that will connect the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Interchange to the Karakoram Highway.

Minister Khan stated during the ceremony that the government is working on promoting tourism in the Hazara and Malakand divisions. He stated that the Hazara Expressway will be connected to the Karakoram Highway and then to the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road through the development of this road project, which will cost PKR 690 million.

This road project, according to the local government minister, would be a dual, modern carriageway. He claimed that this connectivity project will benefit over 5 million tourists visiting Mansehra district’s Kaghan valley. He also hinted that the foundation stone for the PKR 1.75 billion Datta Road, which will relieve traffic congestion in the metropolis, will be put shortly.

In addition, the district government has begun a door-to-door survey in Mansehra and its surroundings to learn more about the transgender community’s housing and livelihood difficulties.
