Taxila: According to news reports, retired Major Tahir Sadiq, a member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Taxila, indicated on Saturday (September 18) that the government will spend PKR 11.74 billion to finish 1174 development projects across the district.
Mr Sadiq remarked that the focus is on developing solutions that will improve and simplify the lives of ordinary people. The projected development projects include education, health, road maintenance, educational institution improvement, and other public and welfare efforts.
He was chairing a meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office to assess the status of several development projects. During the meeting, members of the provincial assembly and government administration were present. Officials from a variety of departments updated the audience on current activities in their respective departments.
The suggested plans, according to MNA Tahir, should focus on finishing projects on time, with the highest quality of work, and with budgetary discipline.
He also emphasised that the government is committed to delivering basic services to people in rural areas, and that this endeavour includes the implementation of these programmes.
