Bannu: According to a recent news report, on Wednesday, two police officers were killed when rival groups exchanged fire over a property dispute in Bannu’s Ghari Sher Ahmad town.

Khanzallah Khan and Bakhtiar Khan, according to officials, were relatives of the deceased. According to them, the bodies and wounded were taken to the district headquarters hospital in Bannu. The police have opened an investigation after filing a report.

DPO Imran Khan has stated that cops would also perform duties in bazaars and at temporary checking points, banks, bus terminals, grain markets and Ehsaas payment centres. The official said mobile and foot patrols had been increased in the urban and rural localities to ensure protection to people’s lives and properties.
