Peshawar: According to media reports, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday (October 4) directed the necessary authorities to provide no-objection certificates (NOCs) to the private sector within specified timescales for the construction of high-rise buildings in Peshawar.

During a meeting of the Local Government and Rural Development Department, the chief minister remarked that the present government’s vision included promoting ease-of-doing-business and offering maximum facilities for investors.
Furthermore, the chief minister urged the concerned officials to follow the by-laws and norms in order to encourage private sector investors and attract investment. He went on to explain that while the present administration has enacted legislation to encourage private sector investment, impediments were being erected for investors at a lower level rather than being removed.

Furthermore, CM Mahmood Khan stated that authorities who are careless or intentionally obstructing private investment will face severe consequences. Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Director General Ammara Khan, Administrative Secretaries, Commissioner, and Chief Secretary Kazim Niaz attended the meeting.
