Thatta: According to news released on Wednesday, Hyderabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sharjeel Ahmed Kharal inaugurated the Safe City initiative in Thatta district, which will help maintain law and order, prevent crime, and bring calm to the district (September 15).

DIG claims that ensuring security and a secure environment would be impossible without the use of information technology. In a press conference, he praised Thatta Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imran Khan’s efforts to preserve good policing standards.

SSP elaborated on the proposal, stating that the Safe City is a novel system for crime control, monitoring, and traffic management. CCTV cameras will be deployed at crucial locations across the city as part of this initiative, and all policing services will be delivered under one roof. CCTV cameras will be put at all access and exit points, as well as all critical areas in both Makli and Thatta towns, to assist reduce crime and track down criminals.
