Mirpurkhas: On Wednesday, the civil administration, with the assistance of the police, launched an anti-encroachment operation along the embankments of Jarwari Shakh to free the property of the irrigation departments from land squatters.
Assistant Commissioner Shahida Perveen of Mirpurkhas oversaw the project, which saw officials from the revenue, irrigation, and survey departments identify illegal structures and demolish them with excavators despite encroachers’ resistance.

Three cemented shops, a multistory building, and hundreds of thatched shops were among the illegal structures discovered.
The officer called a halt to the activity for two hours to enable occupants of a nearby building to transfer their belongings to safer locations.
A previous activity along the banks of Kot Ghulam Mohammad minor in Kot Ghulam Mohammad Taluka was similar.

According to sources, excavators were used to demolish hundreds of shops and hotels under the direction of the town’s assistant commissioner.
