Karachi: According to media sources, Sindh Minister for Energy Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh inaugurated a solar power installation at Civil Hospital Karachi on Wednesday (November 3).

Civil Hospital Karachi and seven other government hospitals in the city are among the 37 hospitals being solarized as part of the Sindh Solar Energy Project. The existing administration, according to Sindh Minister for Energy Sheikh, is bound by international accords to reduce pollution. The government is concentrating on transparent, alternative, and renewable energy initiatives in order to meet the accords.

Furthermore, the minister stated that a project is being established with the help of the World Bank to use solar power to provide clean electricity to families in rural Sindh. During the ceremony, Energy Minister Sheikh thanked WB authorities for their cooperation and the personnel of the Sindh Energy Department’s Solar Energy Project for their efforts.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary of State for Energy Abu Bakar Madani, Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Karachi Noor Muhammad Soomro, Director of WB Infrastructure, and other authorities.
