Gilgit: According to media reports, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of flights from Faisalabad to Skardu to increase domestic tourism. The airline will begin operating flights on this route on July 7, according to the information provided.

The national carrier previously flew from Sialkot to Skardu. Flights on this route will begin on July 3rd. Flights to Skardu have already commenced from Pakistani cities such as Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

In addition, PIA has resumed its Air Safari flights in an effort to boost tourism in the nation. Air Safari’s first flight took off from Islamabad International Airport. There were 91 visitors on board, including Hammad Azhar, the Minister of Power, and foreign individuals from at least 13 nations.

Similarly, PIA has reduced cherry shipments from Skardu to Sialkot, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore by half. Instead of PKR 300 per kilogram, the new prices are PKR 150.
