Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) dismantled three unlawful housing plan site offices on Tuesday. In addition, the offices of five sites were sealed. According to a representative for the administration, an operation was initiated against illegal housing plans and unlicensed structures.

He said notices had been given to the proprietors of eight unlawful housing complexes under the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010. He did, however, say that RDA workers, with the help of the police, conducted an operation against the eight illegal housing complexes on Tuesday.

New Rawal Palm City, Al-Qaim Mansion, and Gulshan-i-Janjua on Adiala Road had their site offices removed, while Abid Homes, New Amreen City, Green View Plotting, and two housing schemes in Dhoke Abdullah had their site offices shut.

He added that authorities have filed charges against the owners for running the unlawful housing scheme’s site offices.

The RDA has already requested that the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL), and the Pakistan Telecommunications Company (PTCL) not provide utility services to the unauthorised housing developments, according to the spokesman.
