Karachi: According to media sources, Karachi Administrator, Chief Minister (CM) Advisor on Law, and Sindh government spokesman Barrister Murtaza Wahab said on Monday (November 22) that a park will be created on five acres of property near the Lyari River. During his visit to Lyari, Mr Wahab made this announcement. Asif Khan, the Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister, was present at the event.

A football ground will be built in the park, according to the details supplied, to create a healthy recreational place for the youngsters. Many plants will be brought in from Khairpur to improve the park’s appearance. Drug dealers, truck mafia, and encroachments used to frequent the area. It was decided that developing a park would be the most efficient use of area while also preventing illegal encroachment.

Mr Wahab went on to declare that the Sindh government is committed to promoting the green Karachi concept, and that initiatives will be taken to improve the city’s tree cover. In addition, the Karachi administrator indicated that an urban forest along the Lyari Expressway is required. This will assist to improve the aesthetics of the neighbourhood while also reducing pollutants.
