Karachi: Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Investment, said on Tuesday (October 5) that the provincial administration is prepared to construct new Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in the province, according to news outlets.

The provincial government will provide technical assistance and incentives to industrialists in this area. This was said by Special Assistant Qamar during a meeting with a delegation of businesspeople led by Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Karachi, he said, is Pakistan’s industrial capital and contributes to the country’s economy.

Furthermore, Mr Qamar also stated that Sindh will share its knowledge and technological skills with other provinces for the country’s economic development.

On the occasion, the industrialists were also briefed on the growth of the industrial sector and the SEZs being built by Sindh. The delegation consisted of prominent industrialists and businessmen from KP province including Special Assistant to KP CM on Finance, Industries, Commerce and Investment Abdul Kareem Tordher, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Abrar Shaikh and other officers.
