Lahore: According to a recent news report, Governor Punjab Muhammad Sarwar restricted the powers of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to Lahore and amended the Lahore Development Authority Act, 1975, in response to demands from provincial ministers, assembly members, and the general public. Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Nankana are no longer included in the LDA as a result of the amendments.

The governor said that citizens, ministers, and representatives of the assembly of the three districts had been repeatedly demanding that the districts be excluded from the LDA’s boundaries, and that the PTI government is making decisions based on the needs of the people, and that providing relief to people in every sector is the top priority of the government.
