Gawadar: According to a recent source, a one-day seminar titled “Gwadar Development and the Growth of the Blue Economy in Pakistan” was held on Monday by the Parliamentary Committee on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Pakistan (FES).
The seminar was organized at the Pak-China Business Center in Gawadar and was attended by the associates of the National Assembly, members of the Provincial Assemblies, members of Gawadar Development Authority (GDA), the representatives of civil and district administration, along with the pupils and the teachers of the various universities.
While describing the significance of Gawadar, the chief guest, Mr. Sher Ali Arbab, said that Gawadar is a turning point for CPEC. He also asserted that the people of Gwadar would play an important role in the progress of CPEC, and that its completion would result in positive changes in people’s lives.
The Senior Programme Coordinator of FES, Mr. Hamayun Khan, indicated that the regional dialogue would help stakeholders gain a better understanding of what the people of Pakistan want and need, as well as how CPEC can help them improve their lives. He also thanked the organization for its contribution to the country’s social growth.
