Karachi: According to news reports, the Supreme Court (SC) ordered Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to cease all commercial activity on property leased to CAA across the country on Monday (October 25).

According to the facts, Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed decided that the CAA lands must only be utilised for airport purposes while hearing a case pertaining to the allotment of CAA’s lands to other parties at the SC’s Karachi Registry.
During the hearing, CAA confessed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) discovered two fraudulent land records entries and that authorities were looking into the matter. Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin Ahmed demanded that all implicated in the case be held accountable.

The case was rescheduled for a hearing, and the FIA Director General (DG) was instructed to appear in court with a report at the next hearing.
