“We have discussed our cooperation in the area of energy and the flagship project here is the North-South Gas Pipeline (an 1100 kilometer pipeline) in Lahore and Karachi,” said Russian FM Lavrov while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. He was flanked by his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

In response to a question about the gas project, Foreign Minister Qureshi said that he was pleased to inform the nation that Pakistan had resolved the project’s challenges.
