Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and Central Corporate District (CBD) projects in Lahore, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan, are critical for attracting international investment and boosting economic and business activities in the country.

On Thursday, he was chairing a review meeting on RUDA and CBD in Walton. Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill, Punjab Local Government Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, NAPHDA Chairman Lt. Gen. (r) Anwar Ali Haider, Advocate General Punjab Ahmed Awais, RUDA CEO Imran Amin, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
Punjab Housing Minister Malik Asad Khokhar, Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor Dr Salman Shah, Punjab Chief Secretary and other concerned officers joined the meeting through video link.
Both initiatives, according to the prime minister, are government landmark real estate projects aimed at promoting smart, self-sustaining, clean, and green housing and economic operations in the country.

According to a news statement published here by the PM Media Wing, he highlighted that RUDA was particularly crucial for the sustainability of Lahore city since it would protect the city’s ecosystem and underground water table.
The premier has ordered the relevant authorities to devise a large media communication strategy to educate the public about the significance and benefits of these two mega real estate developments. In addition, he commanded those various legal concerns that were impeding the successful implementation of these initiatives be resolved.
