Islamabad: As per the latest news, Attock-Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam, has stated that Rs 250 million has been spent on the construction of a new building for Agriculture University Attock and that Rs 400 million will be released soon to complete the project.

He said this while touring the university’s under-construction building to assess the progress of the project. Dr. Zuhair Husnain, Project Director Attock Campus, ADC Finance and Planning Marziya Saleem, ADCG Asadullah Khan, and PTI local leaders Rana Liaqat and Malik Ejaz of Saidan were also in attendance. According to Malik Amin, the relevant officers have been guided to ensure that the building is completed on time so that classes can begin in August of this year.

He mentioned that land worth Rs 80 million has been purchased for the construction of a new building at the AIOU Regional campus and that this campus will play an important role in providing education to nearly 15,000 students in the Attock district. Malik Amin stated that the Punjab government has approved the establishment of a new university in Attock, and that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar will soon visit Attock to lay the foundation stone for this university, as well as announce other projects worth billions of rupees.

Malik Amin claimed that this university will have a new structure and will not be affected by Government Boys Post Graduate College Attock. He also mentioned that no institute will be transferred to the private sector. He said that all was done in accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s and Chief Minister Punjab’s visions, as both wished to bring about a change in the education and health sectors.
