The decision to keep the road closed to traffic was made in conjunction with the Frontier Works Organisation, which was constructing the road, according to a statement released by the district administration.
The closure of the busy artery would have an impact on commuters and carriers, but it was necessary for construction to go smoothly, according to the report. The carriers had already been told of the decision, so they could utilise the Inzari, Thangi, and Inayat Kallay routes during the closure, according to the statement.
