Mansehra: According to a news source, Mansehra Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Qasim Ali Khan has informed that the National Highway Authority is working on rehabilitating the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road, which connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. During a press conference, he revealed this knowledge.

The district administration has also paid compensation of PKR 2.03 billion to landowners whose land was acquired for the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project in Kaghan Valley, according to the DC.
In a meeting with the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Planning and Development, Dr Khan stated that a total payment of PKR 3.7 billion is due in compensation for the land acquisition for the Suki Kinari hydropower project, with PKR 2.03 billion already paid. Landowners, deputy commissioners, and others attended this standing committee meeting, which was led by Member National Assembly (MNA) Junaid Akbar.

The deputy commissioner further informed that the committee’s chairman has constituted a new group, chaired by MNA Salah Mohammad Khan, to deal with the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road’s land compensation issues.
