Islamabad: According to a recent news report, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), stated on Sunday that the renovation of a building in F-9 Park where an Art and Display Museum would be set up soon. But the Citizen Club Building is yet to be vacant for the setting of the Convention and Culture Center.

The Islamabad Art and History Display Museum is in the last stages of repair, according to a statement issued by the authorities on Sunday, and once completed, detailed photos of the capital city’s history will be shown. It further stated that historical photos and artefacts would be shown.

“CDA management is considering to involve artists from the city to form a non-official board to manage this centre. The object being to promote art and culture and also to promote a link of residents with history of Islamabad,” the statement added. Speaking to Dawn Director General (Environment) Irfan Niazi said within a few weeks, ongoing renovation work will be completed.

He added that CDA possesses historical photographs documenting events such as the period when President Ayub Khan’s federal cabinet approved Islamabad’s master plan, as well as photographs of the Parliament House, presidency, and other buildings under construction.
