Rawalpindi: On Tuesday, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) agreed to build two commercial plazas on unoccupied property and then rent them out to create money. This was determined at a meeting convened to assess the status of RDA’s different projects.

RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro has requested that the Estate Management Director finalise a plan to use the unoccupied property as soon as feasible. RDA Director General Nadeem Ahmed Abro, RDA governing body chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, and all top officials were present at the meeting. RDA’s unoccupied land, transfer cases in RDA’s own properties, and verification and clearance of residents were all covered in detail by Estate Management Director Saima Younas.

RDA Chief Engineer Aamir Rasheed briefed the conference on the RDA’s completed and continuing projects, including the dualisation of Dr Qadeer Khan Road from the Islamabad Highway to the Falcon Complex Rawalpindi and the ongoing building of three pedestrian bridges on Airport Road.
The chairman of the RDA governing body praised the speed with which the work on Dr Qadeer Khan Road was completed. He also emphasised the significance of timely and high-quality work, and insisted on completing ongoing projects as quickly as possible.
