According to the directorate, the unlawful housing project hosted an inauguration ceremony for the overseas block and welcomed Shahid Khan Afridi as a special guest. However, the owner was notified of the violation of the rules and regulations, and the ceremony was halted on the site.
According to the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and the Punjab Private Housing Scheme and Land Subdivision Rules 2010, the ceremony is a form of advertisement for the plan and violates the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 Punjab Private Housing Scheme and Land Subdivision Rules 2010.
The RDA has also urged the general public against investing in illicit housing plans. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), and Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd (PTCL) have also been told not to provide services to such housing projects.
According to an RDA spokeswoman, the director-general of the RDA has directed the RDA MP&TE directorate to take stern action against unlicensed commercial and residential construction activities, booking offices, and encroachment.
