The authority’s substantial efforts to enhance the city’s infrastructure were highlighted in the report. The creation of a one-window operation centre to better assist people is one of the project’s key projects. The one-window cell has authorised floor plans for 972 residential structures and 132 commercial projects since its establishment.
The development of 50 multi-story highrises in the city under the RDA Building and Zoning Regulation 2020 is another major milestone. The building of these highrises, which will house 5,000 low-income residents, is now ongoing.
The authority also reviewed the projects that were completed in the previous three years, including the following:
- Construction of Qadeer Khan Road
- Tepu-Road to Airport Link Road construction
- Construction of 3 pedestrian bridges
- Restructuring of Ammar Chowk
- Redesigning of Kacheri Chowk (ongoing)
- Construction of Defense Chowk (ongoing)
RDA’s efforts to encourage business and establish business-friendly laws were also emphasised in the advertisements. This includes reducing the cost of commercial building regularisation from 20% to 10%, commercial declaration of 21 roadways, and a 45-day commercial land usage policy. Furthermore, the policies generated PKR 55 billion in commercial activities in the city, according to the report.
