Rawalpindi: Cantonment Executive Officer Umer Farooq Ali Malik of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) stated on Tuesday that the RCB had completed development projects worth Rs. 1 billion in cantonment districts.

He added that the civic authority had finished work on two free parking places for tourists to Saddar, and that the carpeting of Kashmir Road and Adam Jee Road had also been completed. During his tour to several regions of the cantonment to assess development projects, he briefed Station Commander Brig Ijaz Qamar Kiani.

The construction of Quranic Park, which is located near the Military Hospital on Sher Khan Chowk, has been completed. Olive, fig, and other trees with names that exist in the Quran have been planted. A ‘Rumi Wall’ has been constructed near Rumi Park. The purpose of displaying Rumi’s words on the wall, according to RCB spokesman Qaiser Mehmood, is to disseminate the message of love and brotherhood.
