Strong monsoon currents are expected to arrive in the upper sections of the country on Thursday, August 12 (Thursday), and will likely last through August 15th, according to the Met Office (Sunday). During this time, rain is likely to cause urban floods in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Peshawar.

Shangla, Buner, Batgram, Mansehra, Balakot, Abbottabad, Swat, Kohistan, Kashmir, Sialkot, and Narowal, as well as hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan and eastern Balochistan on August 15 and 16, are among the areas where flooding is possible (Sunday and Monday).
