Lahore: The Punjab administration has planned to highlight the province’s culture, trade, and tourism at the next Dubai Expo, which will take place in November this year.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, who presided over a meeting in his office on Sunday to finalize arrangements for participating in the Dubai Expo, said the Punjab government would fully participate in the event, giving fair representation to the south, central, and Pothohar regions.
The meeting also agreed in principle to include the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the private sector, in the expo.
Mr. Buzdar stated that the Dubai Expo would emphasize culture, trade, tourism, and other important aspects of Punjab’s glorious history. “Participating in the Dubai Expo would help to promote a softer image of Pakistan,” he said, adding that international investors will be offered possibilities in the commercial and tourist sectors in Punjab.
He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about Punjab’s business-friendly climate.
The conference was attended by the industries minister, the chief minister’s main secretary, the secretaries of planning and development, finance, and industry, as well as other officials.
