Lahore: According to news reports, the Punjab government has chosen to make Lahore Pakistan’s first smart city in the next three years. By 2024, the first phase of the Lahore Smart City project should be finished.

A planning commission has been formed for this purpose, as well as a timeline. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the local government department.

Lahore would be developed as a smart city in accordance with internationally recognised norms and standards, according to the facts. Citizens will be able to access all civic and government services via their mobile devices.

Online parking and online booking of government-employed medical providers are two of the services available. The smart applications will also be utilised to control access and exit to the city.
