Lahore: According to press reports, the Punjab Housing Department issued a notification establishing the Lahore Central Business District Authority’s (LCBDA) area on Wednesday (October 13).
The notification was issued following permission from Punjab’s governor’s office. Wahdat Colony, Railway Officer’s Colony, Bab-e-Pakistan, Askari Housing Complex, National Park, Aviation Colony, Airport Flats, ASF Walton Camp, Saint Merry Park, and Lahore Flying Club are among the locations under the LCBDA’s control, according to the notification.
The National Logistics Cell (NLC), on the other hand, has indicated that the project’s construction and development will be overseen by the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) CEO Imran Amin.
The first five buildings on the proposed development plan are expected to be finished within the next 24-36 months, according to the proposal. It’s worth noting that the LCBDA recently auctioned off five premium commercial plots in the Gulberg neighbourhood of Lahore for a total of PKR 26.5 billion. The property in question will be used to build multi-story constructions with residential apartments and commercial outlets.
