Lahore: According to news reports, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Sardar Buzdar remarked on Wednesday (September 29) that the government is drafting and implementing business-friendly policies to attract more investors to the province.
CM made these remarks during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki, during which he also stated that the Punjab government has implemented a “Zero NOC policy” in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across the province in order to streamline corporate operations. He also mentioned that a dedicated desk is being planned in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to better help the business community.
Pakistan’s business-friendly policies and tourism industry, according to the ambassador, will attract foreigners and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), boosting the country’s economy. CM Buzdar and the Saudi Ambassador signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Dubai Expo for the growth of bilateral trade. The Saudi Ambassador also extended an invitation to CM Buzdar to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), which CM Buzdar accepted.
