According to a news report published on April 7, the chief metropolitan planner of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has invited the public, stakeholders, government/semi-government/private institutions, and organizations to send their ideas and recommendations to the authority for the formulation of the Lahore Division 2050 Masterplan.
According to the authority, a public seminar/stakeholders’ conference will also be held on the land adjacent to the LDA Sports Complex to discuss the Masterplan of Lahore Division 2050. This seminar will take place on April 12 at 11 a.m. and will be streamed live on Facebook. The seminar can also be viewed virtually using the Zoom application.

Suggestions and complaints may be sent in writing to the LDA Metropolitan Planning Wing or during the seminar. Citizens should call 042-99262332 for more details.
According to reports, the authorities have highlighted the need for proper planning in various sectors in the Lahore Division (District Lahore, District Kasur, District Sheikhupura, and District Nankana Sahib), including Mass transport Environment, Potable water, Industries/cottage industries, Urban population, Residential facilities, Facilities for pedestrians/bikers, Cultural heritage, Agricultural land near cities.
The LDA Metropolitan Planning Wing has enlisted foreign and local experts to develop a master plan that meets these criteria.
