Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has started a Rs. 96 million project to upgrade Liaquat Bagh Sports Complex, which is expected to be finished soon.

Saif Anwar Jappa, Additional Commissioner for Coordination, paid a visit to the construction site to assess the progress. The event was attended by District Officer Sports Manzar Shah, Shams Tauheed Abbasi, and other top officials.

Mr. Jappa stated that the administration was working hard to develop sports facilities in the province, and that work on a hostel to provide better lodging facilities for athletes travelling from other areas of the province and country had begun.

He stated that the administration would not allow any substandard materials or workmanship in the construction. He claimed that the government was investing millions of rupees in sporting facilities so that citizens might benefit.
