According to a news source, the Punjab Local Government Department has sent new private housing project guidelines to the Law Department to make the clearance system for developers more convenient. The department has proposed changes to the present policies, which were put in place in 2010.
By removing the restrictions for preliminary planning authorization, the new guidelines will simplify the approval process for private housing proposals. The developer will provide proof of land ownership and all supporting documentation to the Local Government Department to obtain a No-Objection Certificate under the proposed arrangements (NOC).
The federal government has decided to stop providing gas hookups subsidies to private housing developments in another event. According to the details (LNG), the decision was made due to decreasing natural gas supplies and the high expense of imported Liquid Natural Gas. Therefore, new connections in private housing schemes will be given for LNG instead of Sui Gas following the implementation of this policy.
According to reports, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has begun granting LGN connections to owners of newly constructed residences in private housing complexes. However, according to sources, LNG connection holders will be compelled to pay their fees weekly.
