The Housing Department has announced e-governance-based housing reforms that will benefit businesses in the province by centralizing construction certificates, permits for private housing schemes, a simplified NOC process for land changes, approval of maps for commercial and residential projects, and other services.

After the success of the one-window method for obtaining NOC, an online platform is being developed as the one-window system is being digitized. Under the reform, permits will be valid for a specified period. The specifications are as follows:

  • 30 days for approval and completion of the construction certificate
  • 45 days for NOC or change of land use
  • 60 to 75 days for permit of residential projects
