Karachi: Prime Minister Imran Khan recently visited Karachi to witness the construction of the Karachi Circular Railway. Sheikh Rasheed accompanied the Prime Minister to the Governor House, where he chaired meetings.

The Prime Minister was updated on the city’s ongoing development projects as well as the province’s political affairs during the meeting. Furthermore, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council discussed the installation of infrastructure to eliminate level crossings on the railway’s loop stretch.

According to the concept, flyovers and underpasses would be built along the KCR route to avoid 22 level crossings. Overall, the project will cost roughly Rs. 20.71 billion, with the KCR also include the construction of a 43-kilometer long cost-effective mass transportation system that will use electric trains to provide environmental protection.
