Islamabad: According to the reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan called for the completion of development projects such as the Gujranwala Development Plan, Rawalpindi Regeneration, and the Nullah Lai Expressway project to be completed as soon as possible on Tuesday.
While chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review the progress on these initiatives, the premier said the government is paying particular attention to supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the growth of the economy.
He said, “The federal government will extend all possible cooperation for the implementation of a regional development strategy,”
To fully leverage the potential of the Gujranwala Division, the government will work on the growth of agriculture, manufacturing, and services sectors under the Gujranwala Program.
Information and technology transfer, specialized supply chains, infrastructure, human resource growth, cluster support systems, affordable electricity, communications, urban management, better collaboration between rural and urban markets, rural development and management, and the environment are among the areas to be given special attention.
Similarly, the Nullah Lai Expressway project will contribute to Rawalpindi’s transformation by resolving the city’s problems while also generating economic activity.
