Islamabad: According to a news source published on April 7th, Prime Minister Imran Khan instructed the relevant authorities to set up a timetable for the Gujranwala Development Plan and deliver the project on time.

The premier recently presided over a meeting to address several development initiatives, including the Gujranwala Development Plan, Rawalpindi Urban Regeneration, and the Nullah Leh Expressway, which are all part of the Punjab government’s Regional Development Strategy. He emphasized the importance of ongoing monitoring in the aforementioned projects and reiterated that the federal government would provide all necessary assistance in putting the strategy into action. Through a video connection, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, CM’s Advisor Salman Shah, chief secretary, and other senior officers joined the meeting.
The prime minister emphasized Gujranwala’s enormous ability, stating that the city contributed up to 13% of GDP, 20% of exports, and 40% of remittances. As a result, the goal is to improve several areas, including knowledge and economy transfer, specialized value chain infrastructure, manual labor growth, cluster support schemes, low-cost electricity, communications, urban management, rural-urban market connectivity, rural development and management, and the environment.
The Prime Minister praised the overall strategy and emphasized the importance of promoting small and medium businesses (SMEs) that contribute to national growth.
