Lahore: According to news sources, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) has approved ten development initiatives worth Rs 45,555.172 million in diverse sectors.

Chairman Planning & Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal presided over the inaugural meeting of the (PDWP) for the current fiscal year 2021-22 on Tuesday. Choubara Branch Canal Construction Project Greater Thal Canal, costing Rs. 19,294.272 million, was among the authorized construction proposals. The Command Area Development (CAD) component of the Greater Thal Canal (GTC) Project was also approved at Rs. 19,783.564 million.

It was decided to build a Cricket High-Performance Center at Divisional Headquarters in Faisalabad for Rs. 750.000 million and a Cricket High-Performance Center at Divisional Headquarters in Sialkot for Rs. 750.000 million.

The meeting was also attended by Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries of important departments, and other senior officials from the relevant departments.
