Islamabad: According to press reports, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Wednesday (November 3) that Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce the “largest relief package for the people of Pakistan” today. He stated that the package is aimed at offering relief to the public in the face of growing inflation and commodity costs.

According to the ministry, the premier has chosen to bring relief to the people by granting subsidies on important consumer goods, as said in a Twitter statement. PM Khan will deliver a speech to the country today in which he will reveal the historic relief package.

The minister had promised a day earlier on Tuesday (November 02) that the PM would launch a big relief plan for 53% of the people as part of the Ehsaas poverty reduction initiative. The government passed the Ehsaas Programme Ordinance 2021 in this context on Tuesday. In addition, the minister of information announced that the prime minister will tell the public about the country’s changing economic conditions.
