Rawalpindi: According to press reports, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday (August 2) that the Kamyab Pakistan Program will be started on August 9, 2021, to provide chances for the impoverished.

The prime minister made the statement while speaking at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Rawalpindi after the three-day Interior, Construction, Electrical and Electronics Expo (ICEE) organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Conference and Industries (RCCI). In order to promote the housing sector and construction business, the expo was organized in partnership with the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA).
According to the premier, each member of the poor family will receive technical training, an interest-free loan for house construction, and up to PKR 1 million in treatment facilities with health cards as part of the initiative.
Furthermore, the premier stated that the major goal of the program is to lift as many people out of poverty as possible and build wealth through sustainable ways and export-oriented industrial promotion.

He also noted that the government has introduced low-cost home financing to provide low-interest loans to encourage the construction industry, and that interest rates have been locked at 3 and 5% to benefit the middle-to-low income sectors. He also emphasized the government’s efforts to combat global warming through the Billion Tree Tsunami project and plantation program.
