Islamabad: Senator Faisal Javed, the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting, stated on Tuesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate a housing project for abroad Pakistanis on Friday, according to news reports. The Roshan Apna Ghar project will be introduced for expatriates living in other countries.

In a message from his Twitter account, the senator claimed that the housing scheme will be launched in conjunction with the State Bank of Pakistan and the Ministry of Finance. According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan will speak at a ceremony to commemorate the Roshan Digital Account hitting the USD 2 billion barrier in just 11 months.

He complimented Pakistanis living abroad for their significant contribution to the success of the Roshan Digital Account programme. He went on to say that the housing programme will help expatriate Pakistanis with real estate investment and mortgage financing in Pakistan.
