Naran: Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Tuesday that the tourist industry requires massive uplift programmes to play its part in the economy, and he announced the establishment of a tourism zone to promote the country’s picturesque sites.

During a visit to Naran and the Kaghan Valley, the premier remarked that only summer tourism is currently being promoted and that winter tourism must be prioritized to enjoy the benefits. He emphasized that we will only be able to enhance tourism revenue if there is peace and security.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further indicated that the administration had identified 15 additional areas where improvements might be made to make Pakistan more accessible to locals and foreign tourists. He went on to say that the KP government would construct resorts near the lakes.

According to Minister of Housing Dr Amjad Ali, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated PKR 10 million for the development and rehabilitation of the “Shamozai Bridge” in Swat valley.

He also indicated that the Shamozai Bridge and Lake would be turned into tourist attractions. It will contribute to the growth of the local economy and the well-being of the residents. This will also aid in the enhancement of the KP’s soft image.
